With your adapter you will also receive a mini CD containing some DEMO and Freeware to test out on your computer, full versions of this software need to be purchased seperately and run anywhere from $10-$100 depending on your needs
Q) Why spend a little more to purchase ours rather than the ones selling for a few dollars less?
A) The reasons are many. Firstly many of the other cheaper versions of this device WILL NOT work on Ford vehicles because they skimp on many needed parts that read the Ford protocols. In many of the other cheaper units the manufaturers have cut so many corners they removed crucial parts that prevent the chips from frying out after a couple uses. It is not unlikely to use one of those units twice only to never have it work again. Many times they also use very cheap bluetooth chips which limits the range of the signal and also has been known to cause dropped signals during use, pausing readings and other odd occurances. Many of the cheap versions ship from China, even with expidited shipping this still means it can take up to many weeks to receive your goods unless you are lucky. While our adapters are still made in China we always keep them in stock and they will ship to you from the midwest of the USA! Even without expidited shipping you get your product within about 3-4 working days! Lastly, if you have a problem with your device you receive from us, being that we are in the USA, exchanges & returns are easy, not to mention when you contact us for help and our answers are in easy to understand English!
Q) Will this work on my vehicle?
A) This OBD reader is supported by ALL OBDII compliant vehicles 1996 & Newer. This means all cars made for sale in the USA after this date. It will be supported by some cars made for sale in other countries but that we cannot guarantee as not all countries mandate the use of OBDII. To check your cars OBDII compliance you can visti this site: http://obdclearinghouse.com/
Q) Will this work on my: Acura, Alfa Romeo, AM General, Aston Martin, Audi, Avanti, Bentley, BMW, Bugatti, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Daewoo, Dodge Eagle, Ferrari, Fiat, Ford, Freightliner, Geo, GMC, Honda, Hummer, Hyundai, Infiniti, Isuzu, Jaguar, Jeep, Kia, Laforza, Lamborghini, Land Rover, Lexus, Lincoln, Lotus, Maserati, Maybach, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mercury, Mini, Mitsubishi, Morgan, Nissan, Oldsmobile, Panoz, Plymouth, Pontiac, Porsche, Qvale, Ram, Rolls Royce, Saab, Saleen, Saturn, Scion, Shelby, Smart, Subaru, Suzuki, Tesla, Toyota, Volkswagen, Volvo, Workhorse
A) Yes, as long as it was made after 1996 and is OBDII compliant. Please check the website listed above or your vehicles owners manual to verify its OBDII compliance!
Q) I have received the unit but lost the paper with the pairing code?
A) The pairing code for this device will always be "1234"

The BAFX OBD-II Bluetooth code reader works as advertised. I installed it on WIN 8.1. Install was easy; just remember to turn on your computers Bluetooth under settings. Once detected any com port 1 through 5 will be selected. Easy OBD-II will detect, and if any com port errors are noted it is easy to change with a click.
BAFX customer support (Kevin) is superb. They care about their customers and their product.

Got it on a whim because friend had to pay $50 for mechanic to read fault light (then reset it) so he could fix it. Price was awesome. Installed easily and connected to Torque free version. When I saw it's potential I purchased the Pro version. Had an engine check light come on, so I read the error code which was just a loose gas cap. Tightened the cap and reset error. Saved $50. This thing has paid for itself plus I have real time data with the Torque app.

IF YOURS DOESN'T WORK, PLEASE READ: When I first received this item, it did not work. It would light up but not pair with my phone. I started to think I got ripped off...I mean, this price was too good to be true! I also discovered something rattling inside. I contacted firstname.lastname@example.org and got VERY GOOD support! I received a new, tested unit with a return envelope! Works like a charm! A++++++++++

Had the whole setup going in under a minute. Found the fault code very easily and know what to tell my mechanic to specifically look for and not have to pay for scan at Firestone for $80. 03 Tahoe and Samsung Note 3. p.s. Love the speech alerts and alarms!

I'm using this with torque pro on my 2001 Mitsubishi Montero limited and can't get test results. It just continually scans and refreshes. It does work on my Mustang. I can't find any support options. Can someone direct me to support, or tell me what's going wrong with this thing?

i got this to work with my ipod touch (4g) by doing the following:
jailbreak with redsn0w
redsnow will install a new app named cydia
from cydia install roqyBT4 activate licence and install roqyOBD4
install an app from the app store like dashcommand
open roqyBT4 and change the current device to generic obd token
connect with roqy to OBDII after plugging in the scanner
start the car
in settings select elm for interface type
for the data port enter 127.0.0.1 and 35000 or whatever roqy said after the connection was made
click the "not connected" button to connect
